Pamela J. Wilcox
Pam, CEO and founder of Interim Wisdom, enjoys over 20 years success as an innovative and impactful nonprofit executive, interim leader, board member, author, speaker and consultant. Leveraging her extensive experience in nonprofits and associations of all sizes and in every sector, she specializes in tackling complex challenges, deploying her deep understanding of people and business and an ability to pragmatically balance day-to-day concerns with strategic needs.

She is the author of the critically acclaimed book, Exposing the Elephants: Creating Exceptional Nonprofits (John H. Wiley & Sons) in which Pam shares her expertise on effective organizational leadership, nonprofit governance, and volunteer and staff relations. She has consulted widely with organizations undergoing leadership transition and especially enjoys working with and inspiring young leaders. Pam taps into a network of talented interim marketing, program, event and development nonprofit executives who serve on her Interim Wisdom team.
Pam holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. She has served on past boards including the Institute for Cultural Affairs, the Illinois Attorney General’s Charitable Advisory Committee, the Comptroller’s Illinois Non-Profit Advisory Council, and the City of Chicago Cities of Service Leadership Council.
